The best stuff I've ever seen for cables - bar none - is
Dri-Slide. It's Molybdenum disulphide in a very volitile
carrier. It doesn't harden in cold weather, and it doesn't
attract dust or moisture from the air. I used to get it
from Gunsmithing suppliers like Brownell's.
