Yes, I'm using the same filters as Ed, and popular with many
others. I could have missed it by one MM, so it could easily be 16 x
1.5p. I didn't check the Earl's site, but if it has an o-ring, then you
shouldn't have any problems. I was just afraid you were sealing it with
teflon tape.

but the fuel system is the only thing (amazingly) that hasn't leaked. BTW,
this is from the Earl's catalog:
