I am too serious about flying IFR safely, on a long descent from 18,000 feet
I might not have much vacuum for 20 minutes since I might be mostly gliding.
Same on takeoff, I don't want to have to run 50% power on the ground before
being released into the clouds.
I was thinking about some regulator contraption that uses intake vacuum,
turbo pressure and exhaust vacuum as needed, but t sounds a bit complex.

Have you considered taking vacuum from the exhaust?
That's what I'm hoping to use.
