The last thing I want to do is cause trouble, get excommunicated for heresy, or split up this wonderful group, but I just can't see a valid reason to keep struggling with old technology.

John, these are EXACTLY my sentiments. I'm sincerely grateful to Marvin for hosting this list for as long as he has.  Never once has he requested anything for his trouble, nor do I believe he would accept any compensation if you offered it.  I really feel like I've grown to know many of the people on this list, and regard them as friends.   

Unfortunately, I just can't overlook the advantages of using a web forum, and I believe it's time to move on to a new format.  I just can't see any disadvantage to doing that, though I expect that some folks will resist change.  I for one am ready to make a change, and have made the official first post in the new forum.  I even found "my" icon there :-)
