I am noticing something in the past several weeks where more and more
posters are using the "Reply to All" feature when responding to
FlyRotary mailings.

When you hit "Reply to All" it replies not ONLY to the list, but also to
the originating poster, so the originating poster gets 2 copies of the
mail in response to his post. In effect you are sending both an "on
list" and "off list" reply at the same time.

I am speaking only for myself, but I archive every single post and see
very little reason to have duplicates of ANY post, especially when the
daily tally is upwards of 50 posts/day. I have no intention of
appointing myself "email nazi" or delving into the top/bottom posting
debate.. but I am going to make a personal and fairly simple request:

When responding to a list-serv, such as this, where the mail goes to all
subscribers ANYWAYS, simply use the "REPLY" rather than the "REPLY TO
ALL" feature.

Thanks for your time, and I hope I didn't come across in a negative fashion,
Dave Staten
