The Texas Hill country is definitely beautiful country, but then I am a bit biased. New Braunfels (www.newbraunfels.com) is just a short hop from San Antonio, and about 45 minutes from Austin (my home), and a couple of hours from Bush's ranch (TFR should not be a problem). I, for one, am very excited to have SWRFI back in this part of the state. One other thing, anyone wanting to bring the little woman can drop her off at the San Marcos Outlet Mall for the day while you enjoy the airshow. Both will have a fun day. Finally, don't forget to get some great Bar-B-Q while in the area. The Salt Lick (between Austin and San Marcos) is world famous. Many others in the area too (ask any "local" for the name of their favorite eaterie). Mark S. Austin, TX
