They self-primed and pumped the fuel = up about 3 feet quite happily. I did this multiple times before deciding to mount them on the floor anyway. John Slade -------------- Ha! That's funny.=20 The more I've thought about it, the more I think I might just put them = about a foot high on the side wall. If you think about it, they're mounted in = the top of a fuel tank on your car, and they do have to lift fuel some when you're low. Having two of them in parallel, drawing from the same tank, = I'm sure I'll have fuel if I need it. =20 Bottom line is that I just don't want them on the floor. If the turbo doesn't work out, I might have to move the battery forward into that = area. I also don't have a plan for a heater yet which might require that = space. There's also a dozen other perfect uses for it, including a place to = stretch out my legs. Nope, the pumps are going on the side wall. Ed- I can understand why you wanted the boost pump, but in my case, the pumps and filters will all be in the cockpit, so there should be no = chance of boiling fuel unless the plane is on fire. In that case, I'll either = be running for a fire extinguisher, or parachuting for safety, and hoping = the plane doesn't hit anything because I STILL don't have insurance. =20 Thanks to all who commented.
