Rusty; I would highly recommend that you do your experimenting with the
turbo on a dyno or a test bed. I had the same experiences' as Ed back in
the 60's trying to may a blower work.

===> Thanks John, but I'm afraid the RV-3 IS the test bed. I do plan to log
at least a couple hours of ground running before flight, and I should be
able to sort out the turbo control on the ground. If nothing else, the pop
off valve will give me an absolute safety valve, something I imagine that
you and Ed didn't have back in the 60's. I'm still thinking of the best way
to control the boost, but it will probably fly with manual control for a
while.
