So.. to confirm what I am thinking... I  DONT need an additional "flywheel" then at this point if I have both the counterweight and the flex plate? The RD1-B will mount to the flex plate itself?
 
If this is the case then I hit paydirt and didn't realize it.. On a side note... I think its somewhat ironic... that I went through great (well, only moderate.. BUT) pains to "protect the pilot bearing" when tearing down the engine per Bruce's video... only to read on the RD manual that its got to come out!. Hell.. I woulda bought a pilot bearing puller long ago had I realized that!!!

As others have said, you need both, so you scored by getting the plate along with the weight.  Aside from being used for the starter, those mounting holes are normally used to bolt on the torque converter of the auto trans.  Tracy uses them to bolt on his dampener plate, which is what actually drives the shaft of the redrive.  Sounds like you're set.
