I am also looking at making some kind of mount = on=20 centerline just under the rudder bars on my 9A to mount my EC2 (large = print=20 edition).  Do I need to make some kind of blast tube provision = for=20 cooling? I have also given some thought to mounting it behind one of = the seat=20 backs, which would still fall well within the 10 feet that you just = mentioned.=20 That should also be a cooler area if shaded from the sun.  =

There is no reasonable limitation on length of wires from EC2 = to=20 coils.  Are you interpreting the instructions as saying = there=20 is?
   Anything less than 10 feet should be no = problem.
