**** Well, if you say so, Rusty. I was surprised to find
that the fitting for a Chevy engine fit my 2 bolt thermostat housing, but if fit
it just fine. If you have a later engine with a 3 bolt hold pattern then,
you are correct it won't fit.
Now you've
got me really curious. I've got two identical housings, one that came with
the generator engine, and one that was on a junk engine that Tommy gave
me. Both are 86-88 vintage housings. Both have two bolts, with a
2-3/4" spacing between them. Can someone else check their thermostat
housing bolt spacing, and see if they have something different? I didn't
measure the Chevy, but it was about 1/4" wider than
mine.
