Folks,
I've been using an accelerator known as "Proxyconn". I can't connect at
faster than 26.4bps out here (boondocks WA) but my transfer rate is nowhere
near as bad as I've read about here. Pictures in less than a minute.
YMMV. My Directway isn't installed yet, just paid through the nose for.

    I guess I missed your previous post. I don't want to omit all
pictures, there are just certain topics, turbo's for example, that I am
not interested in. I cannot select the ones I want to download because
I have no idea what is being downloaded by my computer until it is
completed. I get approx. 50-60 emails a day. If 10 of them contain
pictures I go eat dinner while waiting for the download to complete.
This problem is enhanced when topics are changed but the subject line
is not, a problem that has already been pointed out.
    The separate site for pictures on the biplane site works very well
as all the pictures are archived from the last 3 years and are
available whenever we want to review them. I just thought I would
mention it as we seemed to be discussing ways to make this site more
user friendly.
