It was kinda funny to look = at the pix and think hey, that looks a lot like my place/project.....wait!. That IS my project =20 David Staten has cleaned up/ported/painted our 13b and we are currently waiting for the rebuild kit to arrive. So far, the stock cowl seems to = be working on the smaller 13b..... My 20B fit fine in the stock cowl, I just didn't like the bumps on the = side meant to accommodate those horizontal cylinders, and the open back end; = all in the name of lower drag and cleaner airflow into the prop. =20 The timing of your post is funny....I started my cowl/wing transitions = this week. I am about 98% done with the structural parts of the airframe/wings/canard....I think the cowl is the last (other than some "minor" fairings)....then I gotta make it "pretty" and start the = real work, micro, sand repeat....interior, engine....and finally instruments. Geesh. Yeah; it seems like it never ends. And having the airframe complete = gives you the illusion of having an airplane; but really you have just done = the easy part. I did my filling, sanding and priming in a few steps along = the way so I wouldn't have to do it all at once. That way, having it look = nice, heightened the illusion even more :-). (I pretended it gave me more motivation.) =20 I gotta admint, yours looks way better than mine. Maybe that will be something to aspire to after we are all flying. ;-) =20 Yes; that's a point. I tend to work at getting things done the way I = want while it is still handy here in my garage. I have 3 airports, each = within 20 minutes; one runway is too short, one has no hangars available, and = the other has no hangars available, AND they won't let you land until you've flown off your 40 hours. (I always wonder how they enforce that.)
