Hi Guys & Gals,

Just thought you good people might be interested in the email I
posted on ACRE some time ago ( a month ago) about availablility
of RX8 engines and parts..

I thought I'd posted it to the Fly Rotary list as well, but on checking
now,  in the rush to get to the airport to the Air Show,  and a
computer crash, it looks like I didn't.

Seems the moderator of that "other place" never published it,
thereby keeping all his accolytes in the dark about it. Seems that
they are STILL in the dark!!

It was about that time that he unceremoniously excommunicated
me as well.  Some kind soul, who shall forever remain nameless,
has kindly forwarded to me all the back ACRE posts,  and it 'ain't
there,  so here it is.

Cheers,

Leon

Hi Paul and group,

Spoke to my Mazda parts contact today.  I can have TWO brand
new Renesis engines (bare - long - no accessories or manifolds) at
the
end of April.  Price is tentatively $10,990 AUD funds FOB Sydney.
That's $6,500 USD at 59c to the Yankee dollar).

The rotors are all new,  with different seals.  Apparently,  they are
interchangeable with the current Series VI REW stuff.  Two different
comp ratios I'm told:  10:1 and 9.4:1.  Oil Control rings are the
same,  but the "O" rings are different.

The 10:1 engine is quoted as 184 kW,  or 246 BHP @ 8,600,  and
that's blowing through 2 cat convertors and an 86 dB exhaust
system!!.  I can see these suckers putting out close to 300
neddies in NA form with the right exhaust and inlet manifolds.

Place your orders NOW!!  Who want's how many??

I'm off to the Avalon AIr Show in Melbourne Australia tomorrow,  so
I'll fill you in with more details when I return!  Will have a full
list of part #s etc  and parts comparisons in due course.
Mmmmmmmmm,
tasty!!

Cheers mate!

Leon
