Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Injectors
Hi, fellow rotary enthusiasts....I have
Dave Atkin's fuel and ignition system. I am trying to identify my fuel
injectors, as Rusty wanted to know what size they were. All I can find stamped
on them are the following numbers. 171049 and 9211. Anyone
have any idea what brand and size these might be? Thanks in advance for
your replies. Paul Conner, 13B powered SQ2000 under construction.
Hi Paul,
Does your TB say TWM on it? That's what I got from
Dave, but I didn't order the whole enchilada. There's a decent
amount of info on the TWM site at- http://www.twminduction.com/Home/Home-FR.html but
it doesn't show any injector part numbers similar to the ones you
quoted. Here's another silly question, do you have two, or four
injectors?
I'm still curious to know what you got from Dave, but
I will be ordering a couple of injectors from TWM. One thing I found out
from Tracy was that his ECU requires 4 injectors of similar size.
In other words, you can't use two 550's, and two 850's like they do in the 3rd
gen RX-7's. TWM sells a Rochester injector for their TB that's 525
cc/min at 43.5 psi, so I'll get two of those to go with the two stock 550's
that I have for the primaries.
Rusty
Sorry, I neglected to answer your question
regarding my injectors. I have TWO injectors, mounted on the throttlebody. It
was suggested that all I need are those two. Hope this helps. Paul
